Exciting afternoon activities
to learn Italian culture
To learn Italian successfully you have to live like a real Italian and explore the places around you! In our school, we are strong supporters of everyday local life experiences as a learning method and that’s how our Italian language and culture program was born: a set of afternoon cultural activities to learn Italian culture together with our teachers and make spontaneous conversation practice.
After the morning lessons, in the afternoon there comes the moment to go and discover the beauty of Casentino. Strolls, lunches, trips to sacred places will become pleasant moments to speak Italian with people coming from all over the world and with our teachers, always there with you during our cultural activity program.
Making experiences in complete relaxation predisposes your mind to be particularly receptive to new stimuli and that’s why speaking in Italian during one of our cultural activity is something that no school desk can give you. Our Italian language and culture program is the opportunity to learn Italian outside the classroom, in contact with the most authentic beauty of the Casentino valley: the cherry on top of your study trip in Tuscany.
THE COURSE
Our Italian language and culture program lasts two weeks and consists of:
4 cultural excursions with our teachers
5 dinners or lunches with our teachers
1 half-day cooking class followed by a dinner with our teachers
Let’s go and discover the beauties of the Casentino Valley
Poppi is a medieval village of incomparable beauty, surrounded by art, history and nature. In the heart of Casentino, Tuscany expresses its entire splendor: medieval hamlets, castles and monasteries, like Camaldoli and La Verna. Learning Italian culture strolling around to discover its treasures will inspire us for some conversation practice.
At table with the teachers
The best way to learn Italian culture is sitting down at the table with real Italians. We are famous for appreciating the pleasures of food and wine, but the meals of our Italian language and culture program are something more than a pleasant banquet to discover fantastic Tuscan gastronomic treasures. Having dinner with our teachers is the perfect occasion to make spontaneous conversation outside the classroom. Choosing from endless potential topics, you can practice your Italian in a funny and relaxed atmosphere.
Cooking together
Tortelli di patate (fresh ravioli filled with potatoes), crostini toscani (toasted bread spread with chicken liver pate) and baldino (chestnut pudding) are only a few of the typical recipes you’ll make during the half-day cooking class of our Italian language and culture program. Between a laugh and a taste, the evening will fly till dinnertime, when you’ll have another great opportunity to make conversation and learn Italian culture while eating what we have cooked together.

The activities of our Italian language and culture program last two weeks and are available from March to October with no class suspension during holidays.

Our cultural activity program let you free to choose many more fantastic linguistic experiences.
In the morning you can focus on learning Italian with one of our Italian language courses, both in small groups or privately. Cultural activities, indeed, are a good way to improve your speaking skills, while morning lessons are fundamental for grammar and lexical knowledge.
During your study trip you have the opportunity to choose from one of our cultural courses too (cooking course, stone carving course, painting course): real immersion experiences that last two weeks.
On the day of your arrival at the school, we’ll arrange your schedule giving you the possibility of easily attending both the morning language courses and the afternoon cultural programs.
